Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Wordish and wordish.app, operated by Oluwatobi Ogunleye. By using Wordish, you agree to these terms. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

Using Wordish

Wordish is for your personal vocabulary learning. For the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement governs your licence to the app. These terms also explain our service, subscriptions, and referral program. They do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Wordish is not intended for children under 13. If you are not old enough to enter into these terms where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Content and sharing

The app's original definitions, examples, quizzes, artwork, and branding belong to Wordish or its licensors. You may use the sharing features provided in the app. Otherwise, do not copy or redistribute protected content without permission, except where the law allows it. This does not give Wordish ownership of ordinary words or facts.

Subscriptions and free trials

Wordish offers weekly and annual subscriptions. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period, included features, and any trial or offer available to you. Apple determines eligibility for its introductory offers.

• A paid purchase is charged to your Apple Account when confirmed. If you start an eligible free trial, billing begins after the trial unless you cancel in time.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current subscription or trial period ends. Apple may charge for renewal during the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app, resetting progress, or requesting deletion of your data does not cancel a subscription.
• Cancellation stops future renewal. Paid access normally continues until the current paid period ends; Apple may end a cancelled free trial immediately.
• Apple handles refund requests under its policies and applicable law. Use Restore purchases in Wordish to restore an eligible purchase.

Any price changes are handled through Apple with the notice or consent required by its rules and applicable law.

Invite rewards

When the referral program is available, a new user can redeem one valid invitation before completing onboarding and before recording daily learning activity. The invitation must be redeemed within seven days of their installation being registered with Wordish.

The invited user earns seven days of Pro access after completing onboarding. The inviter earns seven days after the invited user completes their first qualifying daily stack. Opening a link, installing the app, or sharing a code alone does not earn the inviter a reward. Each qualifying invitation can earn each side's reward only once.

Reward time begins when granted. Further rewards extend any remaining referral access by seven days, or start from the grant time if earlier referral access has expired. Reward expiry is shown in the app. Processing may be delayed while a device is offline or a service is unavailable.

Referral access is free promotional access, not an Apple free trial or a paid subscription. It does not automatically renew or charge you. If you already have a paid subscription, referral access can overlap with it: it does not pause billing, move your renewal date, or create a refund or store credit.

Rewards have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. Do not invite yourself, create repeated installations to claim rewards, use automation or false activity, or send unwanted invitations. We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through abuse and investigate disputed awards.

We may change or end the program for future invitations. We will honor legitimately earned rewards, except where prohibited by law or obtained through abuse. Contact support if you believe an eligible reward is missing.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains the information Wordish processes and your choices. No sign-in account is required, but app records are linked to an installation identifier. Progress and promotional access may not be recoverable after reinstalling or changing devices.

Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the service, access other users' information without permission, bypass access controls, or misuse the app or its content. Restrictions on copying or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and the applicable app licence.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep Wordish useful and accurate, but content may contain mistakes and the service may occasionally be unavailable. Features may change. Changes affecting paid access remain subject to Apple's rules and your applicable consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and as available, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses to the extent the law permits that limitation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We will post updated terms here with a revised date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required. Changes do not remove rights that have already accrued.
